I have a student in my first grade class who struggles to form all letters and numbers, so for his spelling tests, he drags letters onto the screen to spell words using a magnetic letters app. He also has an attention span issue, but when the ipad, it’s so engaging that he’s focused while working on it! He also practices tracing letters and spelling high frequency words. He doesn’t feel like he’s behind the class; instead he feels lucky to get to play with the ipad!
